This is a beautiful mantle clock with distinct chimes at the quarter, half, three-quarter, and top of the hour. The clock has a silent mechanism to silence the chimes and is hand wound weekly. It keeps excellent time. The chimes are deep and a reasonable volume so as to bring the reassuring sound of a quality clock into your home or office without sounding tinny or annoying. Highly recommend this as an excellent quality timepiece and a great value.

The quality is superb! We were leery about ordering such an expensive item unseen, but it was apparent when it arrived that we made the right choice. It keeps perfect time and the chimes are “solid” sounding without being overly loud.
